Daily ITINERARY ​
  • Day 1: Sunday depart El Paso or your city, Arrive in Lima at any time. There is a welcome meeting in the evening.
  • Magic Circuit of Water and Tapas Night
    Experience nightlife in downtown Lima with the spectacular "Magic Water Circuit" (Circuito Mágico del Agua) show complete with lights, music and dozens of fountains. Enjoy some tapas and take in the sights with a pisco sour in hand. The perfect night out!

  • Day 2: Lima/CuscoHop on a flight to Cusco. Enjoy a free day of shopping and exploring the city. Choose to pre-book the Cusco Cooking Class. Or Opt for a city tour.
Take a transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and exploring this fascinating city, and getting used to the altitude.
  • Day 3: Cusco/Ollantaytambo.  Enjoy a full-day guided tour of the Sacred Valley. Stop at the G Adventures-supported women's weaving co-op before visiting a local pottery making community. Break for lunch at the G Adventures-supported Parwa Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosco. After lunch, opt to head out on a hike to the Ollantaytambo storehouses and look out over the ruins. Or, wander around the cobblestone streets and visit a local Chicheria (corn beer bar).
  • Day 4: Inca Trail.  Depart Ollantaytambo by van to km 82 where the Inca Trail begins. Ease into the adventure with a straightforward day of hiking the meandering streams, stunning Andean scenery, and ancient Incan ruins.
Trek through beautiful scenery, with a variety of flora that changes with the seasons, passing several smaller ruin sites like Llactapata.
  • Day 5: Start early to climb the long steep path to Warmiwañusca, better known as Dead Woman’s Pass. This is the highest point of the trek at 4,198m (13,769 ft). Most hikers reach camp by early afternoon, with ample time to rest and relax.
  • Day 6: Inca Trail.  Cross two more passes and ruins on today's trek. The first pass is Runquraqay at 3,950m (13,113 ft) where, on a clear day, hikers can catch a glimpse of the snow-capped Cordillera Vilcabamba. Hike through the cloud forest on a gentle climb to the second pass of the day, walking through original Incan constructions. The highest point of the pass is 3,700m (12,136 ft). On a clear day, enjoy the spectacular views of the Urubamba Valley. At 3,650m (11,972 ft), reach the ruins of Phuyupatamarca, the "town above the clouds." Camp here or go another 1.5 hrs to the Wiñay Wayna ruins ("forever young") located at 2,650m (8,694 ft).
  • Day 7:  Machu Picchu/Cusco.  The final day of the hike starts pre-dawn to reach the Sun Gate before sunrise. Catch the first views of the breathtaking ruins of Machu Picchu on a clear day. Hike down for a guided tour of the ruins, before your train back to Cusco.
  • Day 8: Cusco/Lima.  Fly back to Lima and enjoy the last night in the city.
  • Lima City Tour
    Discover Lima’s cultural and culinary highlights on this half-day guided tour. Visit the San Francisco Church and its impressive catacombs, walk around Plaza de Armas, and get to know some of Lima's lovely neighborhoods . Stop to enjoy some authentic Peruvian tapas and be introduced to pisco sours during a demonstration and tasting before heading back to your hotel.

  • Day 9: Depart Lima back to Home.

When is deposit due? 
You can deposit anytime before December 31, 2021.  
You must deposit and have Passport by August 31, 2021 in order to guarantee hiking permit. 
No Hiking permit means you cannot do the Inca trail Hike.  You will still be taken to Machu Picchu by shuttle.

Pachacamac and Paso Horse Show

Dive into Peruvian history and explore a famous temple built in honor of Pachacamac or the "Earth Maker", a powerful figure considered amongst gods and worshiped during the Pre Incan era. After you've got your history fix, head out to enjoy a local lunch and Peruvian dancing. After lunch continue on to see the Peruvian Paso Horse and learn more about this majestic beauty.
How do I reserve my space? 
Complete the RSVP form and Celia will be in contact with you.  The following information is needed along with your non-refundable deposit of $350:

* Passport expiry date  
* Nationality
If you do not have your passport yet, you can still make deposit.  Passport will be needed to book the flights and for the hiking permit. August 31, 2021 is the requested date. Not having your passport by then could result in not getting a permit.  You will be able to do the day tours but not the full hike. 
What if I book and can't go? 
Depending on when you cancel, you will get partial credit.  To protect your trip, you can purchase travel protection (Celia will provide information)
* Cancellation 90 days or more prior to departure = Loss of deposit  
* Cancellation between 45 and 89 days prior to departure = 50% loss  
* Cancellation within 44 days of departure = 100% loss ​
Can I buy travel protection? 
Yes! Cost depends on the reservation price and your age and will protect you if you cancel for covered reasons  
Can I make payments? 
YES! Once you reserve and make the deposit you can create a payment plan to fit your budget and schedule. 
All balances must be paid in full by March 1st, 2022.
Do I have to book with 1 Life travel? 
Yes, if you want to be a part of the group. 
How do I pay? 
All payments will be made directly to G Adventures by 1 Life Travel with your credit card.  No cash or checks.  Any refunds or credits due will be issued directly from G Adventures back to your credit card or you. 
Covid 19
You may or may not need to show proof of a negative COVID 19 test prior to travel.  This cost is not included.  You may or may not have to be vaccinated for COVID 19 prior to travel.  Specific rules to enter Peru have not yet been established.  
You understand that you are choosing to travel despite the current pandemic status.  Refer to travel protection coverage to know what is covered.  
All travel is at your own risk.  
Minimum Age Restrictions
Minimum age restriction is 8 for the Cusco stay tour.  
Minimum age for the full Inca hike is 12. 
​Anyone under 18 must travel with a parent.

There are 2 other options for the same price: 
Lares Trek
Day 4: The Lares Trek is a scenic, less touristic route to hike through the Andes. It is one day shorter than the Inca Trail but higher in elevation.
Day 5: Start early to hike from the foothills of Sicllaccasa Mountain to its high pass (4,800m/15,748 ft), providing scenic views of lagoons and the snow-capped Chicon Mountain. Celebrate after reaching the highest point by making an offering of coca leaves to the Andean gods. After the morning hike, stop to rest and take in the amazing view. Continue hiking downhill to our second campsite near the stream for the night.
Day 6: Enjoy the last few hours of hiking before travelling by van to Ollantaytambo and train to Aguas Calientes to enjoy a good night's rest at your hotel.
Day 7: Meet group in Machu Picchu

Cusco Stay
Day 4: Return to the Sacred Valley with your G representative to explore the sites of the Maras Salt Mines and the ancient Incan agricultural terraces of Moray. Continue on a scenic drive through small villages and stunning views of the Andean countryside. Stop at Piuray Lagoon and opt to explore by kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Return to Cusco for the evening.
Leave the hikers to start their trek and head out to explore Moray and Maras ancient Incan ruins. Enjoy a scenic drive through Andean farmland on the way to Piuray Lagoon.
Day 5: Enjoy a free day to explore the city or take advantage of the many optional activities available.
Day 6: Travel by van to Ollantaytambo to catch the scenic train to Aguas Calientes.
Day 7: Meet group in Mach Picchu
