What is the itinerary?
- This tour has 3 features to chose from:
- Cusco stay: Intense exploration of the surrounding archeological sites in the Cusco area. Stair climbing involved but not overnight hikes.
- Lares Trek: a 3 day/2 night hike into Aguas Calientes. Meet the Cusco Stay group and stay the night before riding (coach and train) into Machu Picchu the next day.
- Inca Trail Hike: a 4 day/3 night hiking adventure into Machu Picchu. Meet the group in Machu Picchu.

What if I book and can't go?
Depending on when you cancel, you will get partial or all your money back less $50 admin fee and $350 will be granted as a travel credit to use on a future trip. To protect your trip, you can purchase travel protection that has a cancellation coverage. Get Insurance quote here or ask Celia to add.
Can I buy travel protection?
Yes! Travel insurance is mandatory by the tour operator. Cost depends on the total price and age. Travel Insurance is required for this trip and will protect you if you cancel for covered reasons or if you get sick or injured while on your trip. Get a quote. Policy must be purchased within 2 weeks of deposit for Pre-Condition waiver.

Except for the deposit, All payments will be made directly to G Adventures by 1Life Travel with your credit card. No cash or checks. Any refunds due will be paid directly from G Adventures back to your credit card.

Note: The best clothing for trekking is either wool or synthetic materials in layers, as this is quick-drying and can keep heat in better. We suggest a base-layer, then a mid-layer such as a light fleece jacket or similar, then a windproof and waterproof layer.
